A police officer accidentally killed a notorious person. This unfortunate event is the beginning of a very long day—which is known to be “A Hard Day”.
Nakakapagod ang pinagdaanan ni Dingdong Dantes dito. Ramdam mo ang kanyang paghihirap na takasan ang mga problema. Lalo pang humirap dahil sa husay ni John Arcilla na bulabugin siya.
Napatakbo nila ang pelikula dahil sa kanilang angking galing. Pero hindi maganda ang pagkakahubog sa kanilang mga karakter.
It’s difficult to follow characters that show little remorse and sympathy. They keep doing bad things just because they can. There’s a villain simply because there’s a villain. Their motives are weakly established to justify their heavy actions.
They got you covered with the action scenes. There’s the usual shooting of guns, exploding of bombs, exchanging of punches and many more. Even so, all these have low impact.
Kulang sa tama ang mga suntok.
Kulang sa tensyon ang mga habulan.
Kulang sa bigat ang istorya.
Sa pagtatapos ng araw, hindi makakaila na mahirap nga ang pinagdaanan nila. Napagod ka sa kakasunod sa kanila. Sulit ba ang pagod at ang paghihirap?
The day was hard,
but it’s not a fulfilling one.
