Adolescence (2025)
Directed by: Philip Barantini

How many times did you try to understand life in adolescence—and make it make sense?
Chaotic as it can be, try to shut down all the noise. Stop whatever it is you’re doing and watch this most important series right now on Netflix.
Initially, you’ll get stunned by the nearly hour-long continuous shot that represents the unsettling restlessness of the situation. Although a lot is happening, the narrative unfolds at a manageable pace, giving you room to breathe and process things one step at a time.
As the show progresses, a can of worms is exposed. Episode 1 is merely the tip of the iceberg while the succeeding episodes delve into deeper themes. Reality extends far beyond what meets the eye. Each character contributes in painting the bigger picture, helping you see things with clarity.
More than solving a crime, this series invites you to piece together the intricate puzzle of human complexities. Everyone has a role to play. No one gets to be complacent. Different voices matter. Knowing what questions to ask can lead to eye-opening answers.
A hard pill to swallow, the ending is both shattering and enlightening. The journey has come full circle. Life’s landscape can be dotted with ambiguous gray areas and clear-cut truths. There’s no other way that this series could have done any better.
Chaotic as it can be,
𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 makes perfect sense.
Normally, this page only gives scores to movies, but this series is an outright exception because it deserves the proper credit of a 5-star rating. The world needs to see 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 in its transcendence. Make it a priority.
