ASIAN PERSUASION

Asian Persuasion (2023)

Directed by: Jhett Tolentino

An Asian man tries to persuade an Asian woman to find true love and happiness.

It’s really hard to persuade yourself

that this is a good movie.

Your limited interpretation of the film speaks volume of your capacity to intellectually criticize the film and its intentions. Its obvious that you have ill-feeling towards someone in the production. Also, you might widen your vision to international films and not box yourself in typical Filipino films, which have yet reached any international recognition by Hollywood.

Saw this early December. Waste of money. It was a snooze fest and the narrative lack direction. The actors weren’t utilized well, too. It comes off as a cheap film that’s just shot in New York, nothing more. Nothing less.
