BINI Chapter 2: Here With You (Documentary 2024)

If Chapter 1 is about their humble beginnings and road to stardom, then Chapter 2 is about how they’re handling the fame they have right now.
Unfortunately, this documentary didn’t have much videos to support some of the girls’ statements. The scenes they’re showing are mostly not connected to what they’re saying. BINI would often acknowledge the fans for their love and support, but there’s little to no interaction with them. Hindi ramdam yung pagmamahal na yun dito sa ipinakita nilang dokyu.
Magpapakitang-gilas daw si Aiah sa kanyang hometown, tapos ang kasunod na eksena ay hindi naman ganun ang nangyari. Mag-co-comment daw si Colet sa mga bashers, pero hindi naman pinakita kung anong sinabi. Miss na ni Maloi ang kanyang magulang, pero walang pangyayari para segunduhan iyon. Nung sinabi ni Sheena na tapos na ang Biniverse, magugulat ka na lang dahil yun na pala yun. Hindi nagkaroon ng magandang highlights ang kanilang Baguio, Cebu at GenSan leg.
The flow of this Chapter 2 documentary is not smooth. The Jabawockeez scene is very anticlimactic. The previous issue shown is about Jhoanna’s health, then suddenly there’s a clip about airport disguise.
Hindi rin maganda kung paano ipinapasok ang bawat BIBI member. May bagong salita o pangalan lang na mabanggit ay mapupunta na agad dun ang eksena—kahit hindi pa lubusang napag-uusapan ang naunang paksa. Ang hilig nilang tumalon-talon sa iba’t ibang isyu.
The switching of topics is abrupt. Nothing gets a proper resolution. BINI’s health is the most important concern presented in this documentary, but how they addressed it is really underwhelming.
Marami siguro ang hindi nakukuhanan ng kamera, ngunit base rito sa kanilang naipakita ngayon, hindi ramdam ang pagpapahalaga sa kalusugan ng BINI. Maliban sa kanilang mga magulang, mukhang sila-silang mga BINI girls na lang ang nagtutulungan kapag sila’y nahihirapan.
It’s sad and ironic that this chaper is entitled “Here With You” because it fails to show who’s really with them in times of challenges. Meron nga ba?
One thing’s for sure…
it’s not here in Chapter 2.
