Hello, Love, Goodbye (2019)
Directed by: Cathy Garcia-Molina
Bakit everytime we see Kathryn Bernardo in a drama movie ay lalo siyang gumagaling?
It may took a while for you to appreciate him in the movie. When his character started to get deep and personal, that’s when you get to see through him and finally feel him.
Their love story had a good build-up. They started from the bottom. Gradually reaching the top. Until you finally believe that they look good together.
Direk Cathy never fails to put ‘magic’ in every scene needed. The quotable lines are reaching the mind and the heart. The scoring makes you more emotional. It's formulaic but not a reason for it not to be beautiful.
The OFW topics are concentrated on the struggles, and the advantages of it are not being shared. Tourist spots in Hong Kong were shown but not the people and culture. The stereotypes of the country were highlighted.
Regardless of the place and the occupation, the movie still gave justice to its title. They were able to share the dilemma of a person in love. Saying Hello and Goodbye to love when necessary.
But… Can you really say goodbye to love?
HELLO, LOVE, GOODBYE
