Miracle In Cell No. 7 (MMFF 2019)
𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘧𝘪𝘭𝘮 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦
Directed by: Nuel Naval
Without a doubt, one of the best films this year... Direk Nuel Naval is a genius for bringing out the best in everything and everyone.
Sumasabog yung screen dahil sa nag-uumapaw na emosyon. Lahat ng aktor, nagkaroon ng moment para mapakita yung galing nila. Even Bela Padilla who had the shortest appearance made a lasting impact.
No words for Aga Muhlach except praise and respect. Especially during that ‘sorry’ scene behind bars. Hindi pa siya lumuluha, pero ramdam mong umiiyak na ang puso nya. Sa sobra niyang wasak, naipakita nya ang buong pagkatao niya. That's beautiful moment in the history of Philippine drama.
The argument between John Arcilla and Tirso Cruz III was short yet concise. Derechahang usapan. Walang suntukan na nangyari. Pero sapul ka sa matapang at malakas na emosyon.
JC Santos brought more life to the film. He had the most animated colorful role. Halos lahat ginawa nya. Sumayaw. Kumanta. Umiyak. And he was able to execute them all with flying colors.
This film is an adaptation, but salute to the Filipino writers for adding new elements to the movie without having to compromise the original plot. May mga dinagdag sila na tatak Pinoy. At nakatulong yun para mas gumanda ang pelikula.
When you watch this movie, you may notice some illogical gaps. But everytime na napapansin mo yung mali. Parati silang bumabawi sa emosyon. This is not a perfect film in terms of details. But it is perfect in terms of emotions.
Regardless of the awards,
this film already won by a mile
by touching the hearts of the Filipino family.
