PALITAN

Palitan (2021)

Directed by: Brillante Mendoza

Aside from the sacred family traditions, they also try to show the values and scars tied with every character.

You know that these challenges are happening in the real life. That’s why you can easily understand what they’re going through.

The flow of the story is simple. Sometimes, it feels like a documentary for the dialogues are raw and natural, most especially when the family members are talking to each other.

However, the execution can go from being authentic to dull.

The role is too big for them to carry.

The movie is heavily dependent on the characters, yet the actors are not quite dependable.

While both the execution and the actors lack a strong voice, the story managed to give provoking thoughts at the end.

Anong klaseng kasalan ba ang gusto mong matunghayan…

Palitan ng sumpaan?

O palitan ng kasinungalingan?
