Rabid (2021)
Directed by: Erik Matti
4 short stories are put together into 1 anthology film. They said it’s all about the New Normal.
But honestly… it’s just a compilation of 4 random horror stories.
As a whole, the 4 short movies are all over the place. It keeps bombarding you with demonic twists and wrong turns present in every other horror movies.
The plot was ambitious, trying hard to look horrifying and edgy. There’s a chance for each story to grow and make sense. But the screenplay fails to keep everything grounded. It’s disorienting and messy.
There’s the constant presence of violence and extremity. Thus, naming this anthology film “Rabid”.
…Rabid that also sounds like Covid.
(and with a font that looks like Ratched)
