SALSA NI L.

Salsa ni L. (Vivamax 2024)

Directed by: Rodante Pajemna Jr.

It’s nice to see Christine Bermas and Sean De Guzman on Vivamax again. Their last movie together was 𝘙𝘦𝘭𝘺𝘦𝘣𝘰 which utilized their onscreen chemistry well. Unfortunately, that chemistry is not evident here in 𝘚𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘢 𝘯𝘪 𝘓.

Whatever kind of relationship that they have in this story, you won’t be able to root for it since the storytelling is weak. The editing also fails to seamlessly connect the scenes together. Color grading is inconsistent.

The movie title is a disappointment. Salsa isn’t given importance. Screenplay is not playful enough. It’s a missed opportunity to incorporate the dance moves into the sex scenes.

There’s no excitement or tension with the scenes. Some vital information are being said through narration, limiting the chance to bring the characters into life.
