Shake Rattle & Roll: Extreme (2023)
Directed by: Richard Somes, Jerrold Tarog, Joey De Guzman
SRR: Extreme has 3 different episodes. The first episode is entitled “𝘎𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩”. The cast is good. The monster Gary The Goat has the potential to be an iconic horror character. However, the major glitch here is its lack of story. The writing is weak.
On the other hand, the second episode “𝘔𝘶𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨” has a well-written story. With Direk Jerrold Tarog’s brilliance, it turned out to be extremely fun and satisfying to watch.
Masarap silang panuorin. Tatawa ka. Madadala ka. Papalakpak ka. Sisigaw ka. Mabubusog ka sa 𝘔𝘶𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨.
Kung ano ang itinaas ng second episode
ay siyang ikinababa ng third and last episode
Wala kang emosyon. Hindi nakakagalit ang 𝘙𝘢𝘨𝘦.
As a whole, there’s no cohesive message that’s binding them. Putting the three stories together has no greater impact.

MOVIE REVIEWS PER EPISODE
GLITCH by: Richard Somes
Family vs Gary The Goat.
The camera angles are not frightening. The editing is not smooth. The writing is weak.
Gary The Goat has the potential to be an iconic horror character. However, its story is nowhere to be found. A lot of questions are left unanswered. In the end, the name Gary, the animal Goat, the House, and the Glitching became weightless props for jumpscare scenes.
The lack of story is the major glitch in 𝘎𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩.

Influencers vs Shape-shifting monsters.
May pinagkaiba ba silang dalawa?
From the backstory of the monsters up to the social commentary on influencers, the story is complete and well-written. With Direk Jerrold Tarog’s brilliance, 𝘔𝘶𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 turned out to be extremely fun and satisfying to watch.
Like influencers, this episode wasted no time in bringing entertainment to its viewers. Like shape-shifting monsters, this episode knows how to shift moods from comedy to horror effectively.
Masarap silang panuorin.
Mabubusog ka sa 𝘔𝘶𝘬𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨.

Sane people vs people in Rage.
Sinong mananalo?
The action scenes are okay. The make-up for the monsters is not scary. The blood and gore are there but they’re not that extreme.
Minadali masyado ang kwento. Walang build-up na nangyayari.
Wala kang emosyon.
Hindi nakakagalit ang 𝘙𝘢𝘨𝘦.
