SNOW WHITE

Snow White (2025)

Directed by: Marc Webb

When we hear the name Snow White, we often picture a beautiful girl with porcelain skin. But the latest live adaptation breaks free from that traditional image.

This Snow White is more than just a pretty face. She’s a powerful and inspiring woman—with a heart that shines through her physical appearance. Her strength and character are as clear as freshly fallen snow.

Exceeding expectations, Rachel Zegler deserves to be the apple of everyone’s eyes. Her portrayal humanizes a cartoon character. Her words can transform ordinary moments into memorable ones. Her voice is captivating and spellbinding, turning every song number into a magical experience.

It's been far too long since our ears are blessed with a memorable Disney tune. Finally, this movie offers a bounty of catchy songs that’ll stick with you.

Even though his singing voice doesn’t quite live up to his charm, Andrew Burnap proves to be a suitable match to Snow White's enthusiasm—bringing a delightful chemistry to the story.

Gal Gadot’s caricature interpretation of Evil Queen makes her unfit for the throne. Her song numbers are not to be taken seriously. The mirror on the wall has more depth and power in delivering lines.

The absence of a larger crowd in certain scenes somewhat diminishes the emotional impact of the movie’s themes centered around community. Nonetheless, heartfelt dialogues often compensate.

It’s unsettling to see the dwarves with their noticeable CGI appearance. But once each one of them reveals their personality, their appearance becomes secondary.

With family and kids as its target audience, Disney effectively utilized its platform by seamlessly incorporating values that are easy to grasp.

Like Snow White and the seven dwarves, this film’s substance goes far beyond its surface-level charm. From mirror-gazing to societal observations, the definition of beauty has gained a broader perspective.

For showing what truly matters,

𝘚𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘦 has earned its place

as the fairest of them all.

My expectation was too high. Songs are great but the story. 😢
