THAT KIND OF LOVE

That Kind Of Love (2024)

Directed by: Catherine Camarillo

A character from this movie would often say,

nobody’s perfect but everyone deserves to be happy.

True enough, this movie is not perfect

but it brings the right kind of happiness.

May kilig at pagmamahal silang naiparamdam.

Once the characters are starting to get closer, your attention will shift from the movie’s imperfections to its ultimate strength—the chemistry of the two lead stars.

Beneath David Licauco’s chinito looks are his expressive eyes and face, capable of showing the right emotions on scenes that matter. Even without lines, Barbie Forteza can speak through the heart. Individually, they are good. And together, they are magical.

Direk Catherine Camarillo’s first movie is “Chances Are, You And I” and one of the main characters there made a special cameo appearance in this movie. Although not significant, it’s a cute and harmless gesture. Direk’s first two movies 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘈𝘳𝘦, 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 and 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 both have a running time of more than 2 hours which is unnecessary—given their prolonged storytelling. Nonetheless, unlike the first movie wherein the chemistry is nonexistent, it is finally present on this second movie.

If chemistry is what it takes to save a movie,

then consider this movie saved by BarDa.

That kind of chemistry is worthy to be seen on the big screen. That kind of love deserves a chance to be felt by more people.

We need more of 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.

For me the story is good, sooo kilig, but not only that, so level up ang acting ni david, very expressive ang eyes and the way they handle words, si classy and i would say, this movie opens the door, to patronize again the filipino movies. BRAVO BARDA, MS. CATHERINE CAMARILLO AND STAFF
