THE WEDDING DANCE

The Wedding Dance (Cinemalaya 2024)

Directed by: Julius Lumiqued

This movie is a test of patience.

It’s a mere compilation of videos showing tribe rituals and breakdown scenes. There’s no effort to reach out and tell a story.

She poured her heart out. On the latter part of the movie, you can totally feel her grief and sorrow.

If 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘦𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 was a short film that contains only the important scenes, then it could have been a decent watch. But with its current full-length screentime, it is definitely a waste of time. It’s excruciating to watch.
