This film serves as one of the reasons

why Philippine Cinema deserves to live.

The story has a purpose, and the message is impactful. The screenplay creatively embodies the characters’ emotions. The lines are beautifully written and poetically meaningful.

May lalim sa bawat salitang sinasambit ni Kylie Padilla. Nakaukit sa mga mata ni Gerald Anderson ang lahat ng kanyang nais sabihin. Kasabay ng kanyang pag-iyak ay ang pagluha ng iyong puso.

Hindi nila ipagsisigawan na malungkot sila.

Pero ramdam mo sa kanilang mga linya.

Hindi ipapamukha ang kanilang kahinaan.

Pero makikita mo kapag iyong pinagmasdan.

The cinematography is picturesque, effortlessly exuding Switzerland’s beauty. Its vastness captures the limitless adventures and possibilities in life.

The flow is not smooth. Some scenes brought discomfort without warning. Some actions need further guidance. The camera movements can get unnecessarily shaky. The lyrics of their soundtrack 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘎𝘰 is fitting to the story. But the energy its giving is not matching the solemnity of their overall message.

Having homophones in its movie title, 𝘈 𝘚𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘚𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 sounds like A Suicide Love Story. The duality in its meaning was translated well through their dialogues, tackling light and darkness at the same time.

The film helps you unravel heavy and tight baggages in life, letting you see things for what they truly are.

Life is beautiful.

Love is beautiful.

So as this film.
