Base sa istorya, uhaw ang mga karakter sa pagmamahal, kantutan at magandang buhay. Ngunit hindi ito ramdam sa naging pagganap ng mga artista. Hindi natural ang mga emosyon. Alanganin ang kanilang akting.
Hindi ramdam ang bigat ng pagmamahalan ng dalawang bida at kung bakit sila nanatili sa isa’t isa. Dinaan ito sa mga salita, pero hindi rin convincing ang boses ng narration.
Kinukulang ang pelikula sa mahahalagang diskusyon. Meron kang asawa, nanay, kaibigan at kabit, pero hindi masyadong nagamit ang mga anggulong ito sa mga usapan.
The movie seems to have many elements, losing focus on what it really wants to tell. There’s young love, rape, prostitution, comatose, sapphic, music, scandal, band, songwriting, and all of these are not connected smoothly.
Kapag may pinapatugtog na kanta, dun nagkakaroon ng buhay ang mga eksena. Maliban sa maganda ang boses ni Ataska, ang mga liriko ay pasok din sa ilang eksena. Sulit pakinggan ang “Sa Iyong Paggising” at “Di Inibig”.
Mas maganda kung live ang lahat ng performances. Dahil kapag lip sync, hindi tumutugma ang emosyon ng mukha dun sa pinapatugtog na kanta. Also, the songwriting process could’ve been highlighted more because it has the chance to make the story richer and to connect all the elements together.
The cinematography and the scoring are above average level, elevating the scenes as needed. Vivamax talents are treated as actors in the film—and this is a rare case nowadays.
Despite its deficiencies, 𝘜𝘩𝘢𝘸 deserves credit for being more than just a thirst quencher. May this film serve as a reminder that sex scenes can still be accompanied with other things. Good music among many others.
